MAC gallery resource pack for Secondary Schools is an excellent, free resource to help your class engage with the work on display in our galleries.

The resource pack focuses on the current exhibition Shonky: The Aesthetics of Awkwardness. Curated by artist John Walter, this exhibition brings together international artists and architects to explore the nature of visual awkwardness.

This resource is designed for use by teachers and group leaders to support and enrich your class visit to the exhibition.

How it works

This pack is designed to guide your pupils through the MAC’s current exhibition, encourage them to investigate the work of the artists and give them space to explore their responses to the work.

As you travel through the gallery use the pack to record experiences. Use the questions to investigate the work further.
