ArtsEkta and Moving on Music present Salim Sabri.

ArtsEkta, Northern Ireland’s leading ethnic arts organisation, and Moving on Music are pleased to bring you an exciting Qawwali evening performed by Salim Sabri and his group. Qawwali is a type of Sufi devotional music popular on the Indian subcontinent, a musical tradition that dates back over 700 years.

Salim Sabri, student of the world famous Haji Maqbool Ahmed Sabri (Sabri Brothers) Pakistan, started his singing career at the age of 12. Salim was drawn to this spiritual music and decided to take this passion further and established a UK-based group in 1988.

In addition to performing at major venues across the UK, Salim and his group have toured worldwide.
