Wendy Houstoun’s 50 ACTS
50 ACTS is a spirited retaliation against ageism.
This modern show involves lots of small dances and big ideas, random acts, ghostly appearances, invisibility and much more.
Wendy Houstoun has worked extensively as a solo performer and in collaboration with numerous dance and theatre companies. Over the years, her work has developed a uniquely distinctive style that combines movement with text, alongside a humorous prod at our culture.
Wendy now brings her own brand of radicalism to the MAC in 50 ACTS.
Our standard tickets for Upstairs at the MAC start at just £12 and rise over time – so the earlier you book, the better the price.
“A maverick to the tip of her toes, [Houstoun] seems to reinvent herself for each new work…it’s daringly brilliant.”
“Houstoun – On the top of her form”
“50 Acts may be about ageing but it moved a young Dance Umbrella audience to whoops of enthusiastic applause.”
“Hilarious, touching, charming and wise. 50 Acts… marks its creator as one of the most forthright and gifted independent performers of her generation.”
