The MAC is for everyone and when it comes to family fun, this is the place to be.
Family Friendly | Always
For visitors with young families, our facilities include:
We are one of the 750 organisations across the UK who have pledged to meet the Family Arts Standards, a UK-wide recognised quality-mark demonstrating excellence in family provision. Click the logo to find out more.
We've signed the Kids in Museums Manifesto, a set of simple guidelines for museums, heritage sites and cultural organisations created with children, young people and families. It sets out what they feel makes a heritage site a great place to visit. The MAC is dedicated to delivering these six points for our family visitors. Click the logo to read the Manifesto.

MAC Kids Workshops
Imagination Stations | 9am - 5pm, Tues - Sun
You don't have to wait for a workshop to make use of our Imagination Stations - check them out any time you visit the MAC. They are stuffed with art supplies and activity sheets for kids and grown-ups to create art whenever they like.
You'll find two Imagination Stations throughout the building, no need to ask to use them - just grab your supplies and get creative.
We have activity sheets inspired by our current exhibitions and plenty of art supplies - letting your imagination run wild.
You can also download activity sheets inspired by our previous exhibition No History in a Room Filled with People with Funny Names 5 by Korakrit Arunanondchai to do at home:
