MAC Casual Customer Service Assistants play more than just a supporting role in our Visitor Services Team. Working across live events, visual art, creative learning, venue hire and CaféBar, you’ll often be the first person our customers meet and therefore key in delivering the MAC experience. The role is ideal for people who love art, and people who love people.
What you’ll do at the MAC:
- CaféBar: Deliver exceptional customer experiences for all our café bar and hospitality customers including daily visitors; pre and post-show audiences and corporate clients.
- Live events usher: Usher shifts are primarily in the evening and at weekends, as that’s when our two theatres are at their busiest. From welcoming audiences into the theatre to making sure they are happy throughout the show, you’ll play a key part in delivering an enjoyable experience for all of our customers.
- Gallery invigilator: Get to see amazing art up close and personal, while you welcome visitors and tell them about the work. These shifts are usually Tue-Sun 10:45-17:15. You don’t need to be an expert on art, we offer gallery training for each new exhibition. As much as possible the training is provided by the artist themselves in conjunction with our Creative Director (Visual Arts) Hugh Mulholland.
Benefits for you
Perfect for your work/life balance as you have the flexibility and control to work only when you want to as there are no contracted hours.
You’ll also enjoy the latest contemporary art at the MAC and get to see behind the scenes, absorbing some of the creativity that is perhaps missing from your ‘day job’ or to complement your studies.
If that all sounds interesting, read on for how to apply.
