Congratulations to all children who entered the 2017/18 Masterpiece for the MAC competition. We are delighted to announce that the winning entry came from Tyler Baxter, age 9 from Jordanstown School. Congratulations, Tyler!

Masterpiece for the MAC is a province-wide art competition for children that receives hundreds of entries every year. Young artists from across NI have now sent us their amazing artworks, and the judging process will soon begin.

All 12 finalist entries are now framed and on display in the MAC's common room until June 2018. Open 7 days a week, from 10am - 7pm

Who is it for?

The aim of this competition is to encourage primary school children throughout Northern Ireland to interact with and be inspired by visual art.

Any primary school in Northern Ireland was eligible to enter the competition. There were four different competition categories:

  1. Foundation - Primary 1 & 2
  2. Key stage 1 - Primary 3 & 4
  3. Key stage 2 - Primary 5,6 & 7
  4. Special Education
