One of Ireland’s greatest soulful jazz and blues singers performing live in concert at the MAC next January.
Mary Coughlan is one of Ireland’s greatest jazz and blues singers, celebrated for her soulful voice, emotional depth and powerful stage presence. For over 4 decades, she has blended blues, jazz, Irish traditions and cabaret with raw honesty and empathy.
Rising from a troubled past marked by abuse, addiction and tragedy she has transformed personal pain into powerful artistry. Her performances mix heartfelt storytelling, wry humour, and intense emotion, reinterpreting songs from the legends; Ella Fitzgerald to Tom Waits, Jimmy MacCarthy to Joy Division.
Her debut album, Tired and Emotional (1985), catapulted her to fame, and 15 albums later Mary continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
Experience Mary Coughlan live – a rare opportunity to witness an extraordinary and enduring musical talent.
