The MAC, alongside PPR, activists and artists are working together to offer a series of creative workshops on the theme of New Script for Mental Health.
This is an opportunity to participate in different forms of artistic expression; a powerful way to connect and nurture good mental and emotional wellbeing. These informal, relaxed sessions will allow space to talk about and share hopes and ideas for a #NewScript.
We invite you to join us during a mindful meditation on art and nature, in Botanic Gardens.
Nature has always inspired artists to be creative and in this workshop, we will use the beauty and diversity of nature to inspire your creativity.
You will be guided through a relaxation activity, which will help you connect to your body and tune into your senses and the natural world.
We will explore composition, drawing and painting, amongst other techniques to make art in a relaxed supportive environment.
This workshop will be facilitated by Lauren Crudden, an artist and community facilitator from Anann’s Arch.
Participation and the Practice of Rights (PPR) is one of our five Associate Partners who we work with through our MACtivate initiative, the branch of the MAC that focuses entirely on addressing inequalities through art. We're building new and deeper connections with five Associate Partners and the communities they represent.
PPR campaigns for human rights for the people who live in Northern Ireland, from social housing to mental health and beyond.
