At The Table is an exhibition and participatory space dedicated to the work the MAC is doing with its Associate Partners to address inequalities in society.
As one of its Associate Partners, The Rainbow Project and its LGBTQIA + Creative Writing Group, Outwrite is hosting a series of three writing workshops open to the general public in April, May and June 2023.
This session is facilitated by award-winning writer of prose and drama Hilary McCollum. Hilary was publishing fellow at the Seamus Heaney Centre in 2022. Hilary will share their response to At The Table and encourage you to put pen to paper and write a response to the exhibition through fiction. You can share your work (only if you want to!).
Outwrite is traditionally attended by LGBTQIA+ people, and facilitated by founding member Dean Lee, who is an experienced Co-Cultural Counsellor at The Rainbow Project as well as lover and writer of poetry.
Outwrite is inviting members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies to join this series of workshops At the Table in the MAC's Upper Gallery. The workshops are facilitated to create a safe, friendly and generous space allowing people to write and share together in a mutually supportive environment. All writing forms are welcome and encouraged regardless of writing experience.
If you already have writing which fits this theme of At The Table please feel free to bring it along to any of the workshops.
Come along to one, two or all three sessions - book your space/s now.
