“Immediately after the show, the Lyric was buzzing with members discussing their own actions and contributions towards poor images of masculinity ... and femininity.
Questions of a Man is candid, sincere and very timely.”

A dynamic physical theatre performance that asks: What does it mean to be a man? What impact does dominant masculinity have on our society? What are the things that we as men are blind to and how do we change this?
Questions of A Man from Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre is an emotional, insightful and humourous look at some of the issues facing men in the 21st century.
Gender equality is a debate driven by the questions of women. But it’s the behaviour of men, conscious and subconscious, that creates and sustains the imbalance.
Questions of A Man presents one man’s process of questioning himself and the privilege society offers him.
The production, the third between long-time collaborators Dylan Quinn and Jenny Ecke, allows the dancers and the audience to explore challenging issues in a performance and experience that is both engaging and emotionally powerful.
To accompany the performance of Questions of A Man, Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre with Raise Your Voice will be offering an exciting programme of workshops to actively engage young people to consider and question masculinity, stereotyping, sexual harassment, victim blaming, consent and explore bystander intervention.
Suitable for students age 16+, the programme will also support those studying GCSE and A Level Drama, Dance and Performing arts and the delivery of the Preventative Curriculum and RSE.
