Join Imperial College’s Dr. Chris Timmermann - one of the world’s leading DMT neuroscientists – as he explains how DMT is currently used in research to help us understand the brain, and consciousness, while also helping us heal from depression and other mental health conditions.
DMT is a psychedelic like no other… able to induce visions of alternative dimensions and communication with entities. It is also an active compound in ayahuasca: a brew from the Amazon used in rituals for healing and communication with spirits.
Christopher Timmermann (PhD) is a neuroscientist and psychologist from Santiago, Chile and based at the Centre for Psychedelic Research in Imperial College London, where he conducted the first neuroimaging studies on the effects of the potent psychedelic, DMT. His work focuses on the neuroscience, psychology, beliefs and ethics of the psychedelic experience.
A Seed Talks Production presented by NI Science Festival.
