On Friday 6 March, we're excited to present a busy programme of events as part of city-wide International Women’s Day 2020 activities.
This year we're thinking about how we can nourish ourselves, mentally and physically, and in response, have developed a series of events throughout the day and evening that provide space for reflection, connection and crafting.
Friday 6 March
All talks and workshops are listed below, many of which are free. Throughout the day there is a drop in Women’s March banner making craft space in The Hub, welcome to all, materials available.
From 10am until 4pm, An Droichead will be providing creche facilities for babies and children in our Family Room. To sign up for a session, simply email Jen White ( MAC Creative Programmes Manager). Babies are also welcome to attend events with their carers and there'll be changing facilities available in the event space, as well as on the ground floor.
A curated playlist will fill our ears throughout the day with the best music by womxn, compiled by Rosie Priest who hosts monthly feminist radio show ‘Sounds of the Second Sex’ on EH:FM.
Whether you attend an event or not, do feel free to pop by throughout the day for a warm drink or lunch in our Café Bar, which plays host to Hannah McCartney who'll be running a drop-in origami workshop.
Saturday 7 March
Join us at the MAC at 10am, in advance of the Women’s March, for some energising tea, coffee and pastries, before we head over to Writer’s Square.
