Our New Visions project works in collaboration with ArtistTeachers and students from secondary schools.
Taking inspiration from bell hooks’ vision for education “Seeing the classroom always as a communal place enhances the likelihood of collective effort in creating and sustaining a learning community” the MAC with six ArtistTeachers are exploring new ways to reimagine art education with the aim of reinstating the value of art education. New Visions is funded by Freelands Foundation
Artists Development
We support artists to develop their artistic practice, and career by providing commissions, residencies, facilitation, free-space, care and remuneration.
In 2024 we have committed to recruiting artists through open calls so that a wider group of artists have the opportunity to work with us. We are working to create new platforms so we can support artists from underrepresented backgrounds.
