Find the perfect gift with our Gift Vouchers
1. Tickets
A valid ticket must be produced by each customer to gain entrance to an event, on the relevant date and time as stated on the ticket. Ticket may be in the form of paper ticket, e-ticket, QR Code or printed PDF version.
It is the booker’s responsibility to assess the suitability of an event for children where no official age restriction applies. Children under 12 months may be issued with a babe-in-arms ticket to sit on a parent or guardian’s knee; all children over 12 months must have a seat purchased for them. Children’s tickets are available for children aged 1-15 years old. Children under the age of 14 must always be accompanied by an adult. Where applicable, a senior concession is available for customers aged 60 and over. Customers must be able to produce a relevant I.D. to support a concessionary or discounted rate if required.
2. Conditions of Admission
The MAC reserves the right to refuse admission, or to remove excessively disruptive customers.
Latecomers may have to wait until a suitable time to enter and may be directed to a different seat than the one booked to limit disruption. For some events, late admission or re-admission won’t be permitted.
Snacks and drinks purchased from the MAC CaféBar can be brought into any venue, unless stated otherwise. Only alcoholic drinks purchased at the MAC CaféBar are permitted in the auditorium. Drinks may be carried in reusable plastic cups provided.
Taking photographs or recording of any kind is not permitted during the performance, unless advised otherwise. Mobile phones must be switched off during the event. By their attendance, customers consent to filming, sound recording and being photographed as part of the audience.
To make your visit as safe, secure and enjoyable as possible, for some events we may have enhanced security in place, including bag and personal belongings searches carried out prior to entry. This is to ensure prohibited items are not brought into the venue. Please note that alcoholic beverages purchased outside the MAC are not permitted inside the building.
3. Ticket Cancellation, Exchange, Refund & Resell
Tickets are non-refundable, unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled. In the case of a cancellation, customers will be refunded for the face value of the tickets purchased and any booking fees paid.
Tickets can be exchanged for another performance of the same production, if the request is made at least 24 hours before the performance. If the ticket price for the alternative performance is higher, the booker will be required to pay the difference. No refund will be given if the ticket price for the alternative performance is less than the price of the original ticket purchased.
If the ticket cannot be exchanged for another performance of the same production, the Box Office team will try to resell the customer’s ticket on their behalf, once the performance is sold out. If the team is able to resell the ticket, the customer will be refunded for the face value of the ticket but not for any associated booking fee paid.
4. Booking Fee
A booking fee of £1.00 per ticket will apply to all bookings made through our website and over the phone. There is no booking fee charge for bookings made in person, free events, school groups, community groups, personal assistant tickets, children’s tickets and 16=24 member tickets.
5. Gift Vouchers
Gift Vouchers can be purchased online, over the phone or in-person. For Gift Vouchers purchased online and over the phone, customers will receive an e-voucher by email. Gift Vouchers and e-vouchers can be redeemed against MAC shows, events, at the MAC CaféBar, and can be used online, in person or via the phone.
Vouchers can be redeemed in full or in part. If the full value of the voucher is not used in one transaction, credit for the remaining amount will be added to the customer’s MAC account with the voucher’s expiration date.
Gift Vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase, or from the selected date where applicable. The event booked can be after the gift voucher expiry date, as long as the event is booked prior to the voucher’s expiry date.
Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, tickets paid for with gift vouchers or MAC credit, will be returned as MAC credit valid for another 24 months.
