So Late in the Day, first published in The New Yorker, was shortlisted for Book of the Year at the British Book Awards. Keegan was named Woman of the Year for Literature in Ireland in 2022, Author of the Year in Ireland for 2023. In 2024 she was presented with the Markievicz Award from the Arts Council, and the Siegfried Lenz Award in Hamburg.
This year, the Irish Times readers chose Small Things Like These as their Book of the Century, and The Sunday Times critics chose it as Irish novel of the Century.

The MAC is a charity dedicated to creativity, culture, and connection - every £1.50 we make goes directly into supporting our transformative arts and community programmes. Therefore a booking fee of £1.50 per ticket* will apply to all bookings made through our website and over the phone.
*There is no booking fee charge for bookings made in person, free events, school groups, community groups, personal assistant tickets, children’s tickets and 16-25 member tickets.

We have 6 dedicated wheelchair seats in our Downstairs Theatre – two on the balcony and four on the ground floor (please see seats listed below). These seats are locked off sale on our website so that we can keep them available for wheelchair users. To book a wheelchair accessible seat please call our box office team at 028 9023 5053.

Hearing Loop
There is an induction loop in our Downstairs Theatre which is available during all performances. The loop amplifies the sound of the show via customer’s hearing aid or earphones alongside our infrared devices.

- Infrared headset – for customers with no hearing aid.
