“I am so thrilled to witness such a precious time in my life depicted so enthrallingly on stage. The young performers are spell binding. I encourage everyone to come along and I look forward to being there and meeting everyone.”

Gold Medal Mary is a powerful new play by Maire Campbell, inspired by the extraordinary early life of Olympic gold medallist and national treasure, Lady Mary Peters. Do not miss Mary's remarkable story being brought to such a large stage for the very first time.
With heart, humour and determination at its core, Gold Medal Mary explores resilience, ambition and the drive to succeed against the odds.
Performed by the talented young performers of the renowned Rainbow Factory School of Performing Arts, this production comes to the MAC following a hugely successful run at the Rainbow Theatre.
We are very excited to be bringing this inspiring show to a wider audience, everyone welcome - with a special post-show Q&A with the audience and Lady Mary Peters herself!
The MAC is a charity dedicated to creativity, culture, and connection - every £1.50 we make goes directly into supporting our transformative arts and community programmes. Therefore a booking fee of £1.50 per ticket* will apply to all bookings made through our website and over the phone.
*There is no booking fee charge for bookings made in person, free events, school groups, community groups, personal assistant tickets and 16-25 member tickets.
