Inspired by our current exhibition The Lost Paintings we are inviting families to join our Children’s Artist in Residence, Rachel, for this exciting workshop to create a mural (or massive picture) of the gallery wall in our playroom.
Using colourful crayons, pens, scissors and paper, we’ll cut, draw and create a patchwork of drawings and scribbles inspired by our favourite places, a special person, or something magical we want to remember. We’ll even add some sparkly crafty bits and bobs to make our artwork shine!
Rachel will bring all our drawings and masterpieces together to create a large mural, which will stay in our playroom for the duration of the exhibition as a celebration of the collective memories and ideas of families visiting the MAC in 2026.
This is a free, family-friendly drop-in workshop in our playroom - pop by at any time and stay as long as you like. The space has lots of comfy seating, a mini library to explore, and plenty of drawing materials for creating masterpieces.
This workshop is best suited for younger children and their grown-ups. 🎨✨
