Nathan Crothers & the Voices transcend the stage, drifting beyond the waking world into the liminal space between sleep and consciousness. Here, comedy takes on new forms, embedding itself in the architecture of your dreams, where reality bends, memory warps, and anything is possible.
“IN YOUR DREAMS” is a bold, boundary-pushing performance where stand-up unfolds not in a theatre, but in the dreamscape of the audience. Blurring the lines between performer and observer, it plays with the fluid nature of spontaneity, memory, and collective experience.
Free from the limits of physical space and linear time, this immersive experiment in comedy exists only in the subconscious—untethered, unconventional, and unforgettable.
Meet the Artist
Nathan Crothers
Nathan Crothers &the Voices is an artist based in Belfast. He has been performing stand-up comedy since 2022, with a sold-out debut solo show “Untitled” Stand-up comedy at The Strand Arts Centre.
A studio member of Flax Arts Studios and an ex-director of Catalyst Arts, he holds a Master’s in Fine Art from Ulster University.

A set up. A
punchline. A stranger.
Crass aesthetics. A coffee cup. Another coffee cup.
Strong Language and adult humour.
Activities, which may exceed the boundaries of common sense.
Repetitious, repetitive, and repeating.
Meaninglessness-ness, A flat circle. Have fun.
Some text, not much reading, spelling things wrong.

Sardonic wit. Ha. I was only joking.
Ideas of authorship and copyright.
The constructed-ness of reality, creative geography. popular culture.
Conceptual or non-existent, expressions of the capitalist system and its media
culture turned
against itself, Merchandise. Value. Farce. Long pause… PowerPoint is boring.
These are all important elements of my art practice and feature prominently in
my artist
statement.
