Have you ever written with bamboo? As we celebrate Refugee Week, we remember how art and language connect us all, no matter where we come from.
Join our artist Eiman Harron to lead us through the steps of trying something special—writing Arabic calligraphy using a bamboo pen! In Arabic, its called Qalam (قلم). We will start with simple shapes and then write real Arabic letters and create your own calligraphy. Arabic calligraphy is more than just writing—it’s a way to express culture, identity, and history.
Be sure to wear some old clothes you won’t mind getting messy!
