Dublin-based Maria McKinney’s intricate installations examine notions of boredom and how best to escape it.
Somewhere but here, another other place is constructed from jigsaw puzzles and stacked, domestic tables of varying shapes, styles and sizes. The jigsaw puzzles show different views of the fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria. This installation plays with our sense of perspective and navigation of space as the work unfolds before our eyes.
