On Saturday 13 September, our building will once again be filled with the sounds and spirit of Northern Soul as Art on the Floor returns for an evening of timeless tracks, immersive visuals and non-stop energy.

From 7 PM until midnight, DJ Pete Brady of Superfly Funk & Soul will be at the decks, serving up the very best of Northern Soul classic floor-fillers, rare gems and an atmosphere that will keep Belfast moving all night long.

Art on the Floor isn’t just about the music. It’s about the people who love it and bringing together seasoned soul heads with newcomers alike for a shared celebration of rhythm and community. Proceeds will go towards supporting the MAC’s arts and community programmes, but the focus of the evening is firmly on the joy of dancing, connection and soul.

Lisa McGinley, Director of the MAC, said:

“Art on the Floor is the kind of night that wakes up every corner of the MAC. For us, it’s not only about fundraising- it’s about creating moments of joy and energy that stay with people long after they leave. We can’t wait to see the dancefloor packed once again.”

DJ Pete Brady added:

“Northern Soul isn’t just music. It’s a heartbeat, a culture and a community. There’s a real magic when those first few records drop, and suddenly the whole room is in sync, moving to the same rhythm. I’ve been lucky enough to see that moment happen many times, and it never gets old. Belfast has such an appetite for this kind of night and I’m thrilled to be back at the MAC to share it again.”
