Arabic Story Circle
Join us for a magical storytelling circle celebrating Arabic Culture with our friends at Still I Rise Storytelling.
During this fun session, families will be invited into the imaginary worlds depicted through a range of Arabic children’s stories. We will have an array of creative materials available if participants want to draw the stories they hear. Arabic Story Circle will be led by artist and storyteller Eiman Harroon, and will be delivered in Arabic and English giving children an opportunity to learn some new words in either language.
All are welcome to this inclusive session celebrating our differences, and our similarities.
No need to book - simply turn up on the day to start the session at 10.30am. Adults stay with children during the session.
This event is part of the MAC’s MACtivate* program which celebrates diversity, and seeks to address inequalities through art.

*What is MACtivate? MACtivate builds new and deeper connections with five Associate Partners – Participation and the Practice of Rights, Alliance for Choice, The Rainbow Project, Extern, and Action Mental Health – and the communities they represent. These groups campaign about some of the most pressing inequalities facing people in our society today and we work with them to develop their community engagement through the arts. MACtivate is part of our goal to reach further into the community, celebrate diversity and work towards social change with our five associate partners.
