As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, the Belfast Area’s Alcoholics Anonymous event will be taking place at the MAC.
Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength, and hope to address alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
Uniquely, A.A. is not affiliated with any sect, religion, politics, organisation, or institution. Our primary purpose is to maintain sobriety and assist others in achieving the same.
Join us for an open public information meeting where attendees will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of alcoholism from various perspectives. A medical professional will provide insight, alongside two individuals who have overcome alcoholism through the support of A.A. Additionally, a family member will share their experience with Al-Anon, a fellowship for those affected by someone else's drinking.
Whether you seek personal recovery, support for a loved one, or work with people affected by alcohol this event offers invaluable resources and a supportive community. We look forward to seeing you there.
