Join Claire Barclay on a tour of her exhibition Thrum in all three galleries.
Claire Barclay will guide you through her exhibition beginning in the Sunken Gallery and moving through the Tall and Upper Galleries. Claire will introduce her practice and speak about the inspiration for this new series of works, the recurring motifs she employs, the importance of labour and making and our relationship with fabric.
Claire Barclay was born in Scotland. She undertook a BA in Environmental Art, and a Master of Fine Art at Glasgow School of Art. Barclay is known for her large-scale sculptural installations which respond to the context they are exhibited in. Thrum is a body of new work created especially for and in response to the MAC galleries.
