Take part in our latest MACtivate collaboration with Alliance for Choice. MACtivate* is part of the MAC's vision to imagine what a fairer and more inclusive society can look like.
MACtivate and Alliance for Choice are holding this free gathering live, in real-time, with people who live at the intersections of our society.
If you want to explore intersectional feminism, reproductive justice, and bodily autonomy through collective liberation, then this event is a must.
Alliance for Choice alongside Here (NI), disability rights sisters, trans and non-binary siblings and Faith Voices for Reproductive Justice, will be hosting a series of interactive workshops. From ‘Speed Baiting’ to ‘Abortion Pen Pals’, and ‘Zines for Solidarity’, participants will take part in workshops which delve into the lived experience of those who have, for a myriad of reasons, been denied their bodily autonomy.
After two years of isolation, Alliance for Choice believes more than ever that our oppressions are all connected. Alliance for Choice values using creativity to address some of these political and societal issues.
You'll be invited to take part in participatory sessions and idea generation using arts and crafts to tease out the threads of our interwoven communities.
*What is MACtivate? MACtivate builds new and deeper connections with five Associate Partners – Participation and the Practice of Rights, Alliance for Choice, The Rainbow Project, Extern, and Action Mental Health – and the communities they represent. These groups campaign about some of the most pressing inequalities facing people in our society today and we work with them to develop their community engagement through the arts.
