Moving on Music (Belfast) and Music Network (Dublin) have teamed up to present two young artists taking the classical world by storm!
Matilda Lloyd (trumpet) and Alexandra Whittingham (guitar) are a duo of exceptional talent. Having performed on stages across the world, this will be their first time playing together in Ireland, and we are delighted to host their Belfast performance.
Matilda is fast becoming a leading soloist on the international stage, winning the hearts of audiences with her musicality and virtuosic technique.
A gorgeously expressive guitarist, Alexandra has reached listeners worldwide, not only through a busy concert schedule and competition successes but also online, where her video performances have surpassed 40 million views.
Individually, they are at the top of their game. Together, they are transcendent.
For this concert, the duo will present a selection of early music repertoire before transporting us to Spain with the sunshine-filled music of Manuel de Falla. The programme will also feature a new commission by Belfast’s Dr. Greg Caffrey.
Come along and enjoy the elevating tones of trumpet and guitar, and catch this remarkable duo while you can.
