It’s all going on at the MAC. Talks, tours and activities around the clock.

Our volunteers – we like to call them MACtivists - are so important to us. They ensure that you have a first-rate experience when you visit our wonderful building

The Role of Volunteers

MACtivists get involved in all aspects of the MAC – everything from Navigation across our three galleries, or Support at our creative workshops for schools and families, to Front of House Assistance in our two theatres.

Anyone can volunteer at the MAC. All sorts of people get involved for all sort of reasons. Some are eager to try new things and gain new skills. Others have a passion for art and live theatre. Many simply love giving back to their community and meeting new people. But they all have one factor in common: a love of all things MAC.
